Tanya believes coaching is not reserved for fast runners. If you want to run, improve or simply enjoy movement consistently, you are already good enough to begin. Her approach is direct, supportive and realistic. Training should have a clear purpose, but it must also account for work, family and everything else happening outside running. A missed session is not automatically a lack of commitment. When life changes, the plan should change with it. Tanya particularly enjoys helping newer runners develop confidence, discover what they are capable of and build a genuine love of running. Her priority is sustainable progress, with enough structure to keep athletes improving without losing the enjoyment that brought them to the sport.

A lifelong runner, Tanya competed successfully in cross-country, athletics and Little Athletics, including district cross-country championships and state qualification in high jump and the 100m hurdles. She has also competed in water polo, surf lifesaving and triathlon, completing her first Olympic-distance triathlon at just 14. Her extensive endurance background includes 12 Ironman finishes, six Ironman 70.3 finishes and qualification for the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Kona. She also competed at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2022 and 2023 and represented Australia at the 2025 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Wollongong.
